Outside Sales Representative
This is an outside field sales position that will travel to businesses in the area every day.
Areas for this position - Boston, North Shore, South Shore, and MetroWest.
I. Job Summary
The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) will sell our Solid Waste and Recycling Services to new commercial accounts. The OSR must be an energetic, self-motivated cold calling expert who possess a "hunter" mentality and a strong utilization of technology. The position is responsible for prospecting and closing to achieve sales revenue goals by developing and implementing a strong funnel of prospects and sound selling strategies that ensure revenue growth.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
Prepares for and executes cold calls to influence potential new commercial customers into setting appointments with the purpose of presenting and selling or company's services.
Conducts pre-sales activities to gain understanding of the customer’s needs and prepare for the meeting.
Effectively uses our company's Prospect and Customer Database, Proposal Program, Pricing Tools, etc.
Uses industry and company knowledge to make recommendations on optimizing the appropriate equipment and service levels.
Negotiates and closes sales by effectively communicating alternatives and positions to reach mutually beneficial sales agreements
Follows up after the sale to ensure service implementation is successful.
IV. Qualifications
A. Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience.
Experience: One (1) year of business-to-business sales experience (in addition to education requirement).
This is a field-based position. This position is eligible to participate in sales compensation and recognition programs.

Must posses a valid driver’s license.
